Striking Anglo American Platinum workers have rejected a new wage offer and vowed to continue with their wildcat industrial action that started in September.

Thousands of workers gathered for a rally in Rustenburg while being monitored by a strong police contingent yesterday.

Amplats on Friday made an offer of a once-off payment of four-and-a-half-thousand-Rands.

The rally came as police revealed that four Amplats workers had been attacked on Friday after being accused of trying to report for work.
