Following a complaint to Parliament by Minister Lindiwe Sisulu regarding the written reply tabled by the Minister of Defence and Military Veterans, Minister Mapisa Nqakulu, the acting Minister of Defence and Military Veterans Bathabile Dlamini has confirmed the withdrawal of the reply provided to parliament.

Acting Minister Dlamini has written a reply to Parliament to withdraw the reply and has conveyed an apology to Minister Sisulu for the inconvenience caused in respect of the reply.

Spokesperson Ndivhuwo Mabaya said the Minister of defence has withdrawn the parliamentary reply submitted and the Minister of public service has welcomed that they have received an apology from the Minister as well.

Minister Sisulu confirmed her trips are at 35 and not 203 as alleged and said that they want to put it on record that the Minister takes due diligence when dealing with public funds and she is committed to ensure that the money is spent wisely.
