Four men were
arrested in Delft on charges of arson after allegedly setting an Eskom container alight.

FC Van Wyk adds that members of the Delft Police were called to a scene where members of the community were protesting about the lack
of electricity .
Van Wyk said a group of between 70 and 100 people were
burning tyres and in the process set the container alight, belonging to Eskom
which is situated in the N2 Gateway settlement.
Van Wyk said
with the help of security officers, the police managed to identify and
arrested four male suspects aged between 20 and 40 years of age.
Upon arrival of
the police the protesters had already
dispersed , after setting the container alight, and causing damage of more
than R 100.000.
The suspects
have been detained and will face charges of public violence and arson.
