Yesterday Western Cape Minister of Finance, Economic Development and Tourism, Alan Winde visited the Western Cape’s Red Tape to Red Carpet Call Centre.
The Red Tape to Red Carpet Call Centre was opened in August 2011 to provide businesses in the Western Cape with access to a hotline to lodge and request assistance for red tape-related issues or for any general information on starting and growing a business.
Minister Winde said that a thousand calls had been logged primary most people had called looking for business support and business advice, about connecting to SARS for the registration of their business, about advice on funding about incentives it was about getting your CIPC registration dealt with some of them were calling CIBD issues.
Winde adds that it was interesting to see how people were calling in and it was also great to see that the individuals at the call centre could answer many of the calls directly .
