The Western Cape Government Health has today confirmed that health services have been restored in De Doorns.

Clinics in the area were closed due to the farmworkers strike.  Provincial MEC of Health said the safety of the staff and patients is very important and if their safety is compromised in any way the clinics will be closed.

Provincial Government Health Spokesperson Jo-Anne Otto said all clinics in the Western Cape are now running and opened however the services will close should protest action become violent again.

Otto adds that although everything is quiet everywhere and it seems that there is a general stay away but no planned marches or protest action.
