AbM held their annual General meeting

Abahlali baseMjondolo Movement SA held their Annual General Meeting today at the St. Paul's Church in central Durban.

On the meeting members were given an opportunity to discuss the state of the movement and the challenges they have faced, to reflect on how they are doing in dealing with those challenges and to make sure that the elected leadership is held accountable in an open public discussion.

 AbM General Secretary Bandile Mdlalose said they were able to deliberate on their strengths, challenges, threats and opportunities. Mdallose further said the living politic and ubuhlalism was also discussed.

“We remain committed to our politic of dignity. Our movement struggles for a future world in which every one must count - a world in which land, wealth and the right to speak, to be heard and to decide together is shared fairly” she added.
