Body of a man found floating at Camps Bay

The body of a man was found floating in shallow waters at Camps Bay beach on Sunday. NSRI’s Craig Lambinon said members of the public pulled the man out of the water and alerted rescue officials.
 
Lambinon said when NSRI volunteers arrived on the scene, they initiated CPR on the man.

Lambinon adds that paramedics and police responded to the scene and advanced life support was continued but despite all efforts to resuscitate him, he was declared dead on the scene.

Lambinon said the man, aged between 60 and 70, was yet to be identified Lambinon adds that there was nothing on the beach that could help to identify him.
Lambinon said an inquest docket had been opened.
