The Congress of the People Youth Movement in Gauteng today accused some ANC members of blocking them from addressing the people in Diepsloot.

COPEYM said while putting posters around, the Chairperson, the organizer, treasurer of COPEYM in the province and the convener of COPE Student Movement together with COPE delegation were assaulted by an ANC mob.

COPEYM`s Bongani Mahlangu said it is sad news indeed that today in day and age, we still have people who would behave like strays dogs preventing people to associate themselves with whatever party of their choice.

Mahlangu said the Organizer is still in a critical condition in hospital after the brutal attack.

He added that the people of Diepsloot have requested the Congress of the People to visit their area and they say they are tired of the ANC's uselessness.

Mahlangu further said the attackers were wearing the ANC t-shirts.
