The Western Cape Education Department last night awarded FET College students for their hard work.

MEC Donald Grant and Premier Helen Zille were presenting the awards to the top students.

Grant said that in the Western Cape there is a culture of honouring people who do well in education and related spheres.

Minister Grant said that the colleges had just finished the senior certificates, FET colleges, then they will move onto the literacy and numeracy award, and then next week it will be the turn of the Adult Basic Education.

“I think it is important that we reward excellence in the province and reward students for their hard work” Grant added.
