On Wednesday the Western Cape
Legislature passed the Western Cape Community Safety Bill which will improve
the way in which the provincial government conducts oversight over the police
and significantly contribute to increasing community safety.
DA shadow Minister of police Dianne
Kohler Barnard said it will also improve community police relations and act as
a catalyst for more efficient policing.
Kohler Barnard adds that this is why the DA challenges all ANC run provinces to follow the

department of community safety and the SAPS.
