The Democratic Alliance today said there is still no action being taken by Parliament to intervene regarding the open toilets in the Free State.

DA Shadow Minister of Human Settlements Stevens Mokgalapa said he will be writing to the speaker of the National Assembly Max Sisulu and the Chairperson of the Portfolio Committee on Human Settlements Beauty Dambuza, requesting that action take place in the Free State.

Mokgalapa said it is very strange that two years after the Human Rights Commission found the open toilets saga in Moqaka Municipality.

He added that the Mayor and the municipality manager did attend the meeting organised by the HRC to address the open toilet saga issue.
