Minister of Higher Education and Training Blade Nzimande said R2 billion in fanancial aid will be distributed.
On Thursday Minister Nzimande officially opened a three-day capicity building workshop for all student leadership from the 50 Further Education and Training Colleges in Pretoria.
Nzimade added that colleges continue to bear the imprint of a harsh and unequal legacy of apartheid.
Spokesperson for Minister Blade Nzimande, Vuyelwa Qinga said in 2010 financial aid to FET Colleges amounted to R 318 million and in the just three years it has amounted to this amount and that shows that government is supporting and investing in FET Colleges.
