Western Cape MEC for Cultural Affairs and Sport Dr Ivan Meter has called potential sponsors to focus on women this year.
Meyer said the Department is committed to strengthening existing strategic partnership with corporations and media organisations.
Meyer added that it is important to promote healthy lifestyles in the province.
“Government needs the partnership, the presence of sport is expensive; sport is a builder of nationhood, social cohesion” Ministerial spokesperson Daniel Johnson said.
