Shosholoza Meyl service from CPT to EL increased

Western Cape Department of Transport and Public Works, together with Prasa rail have increased Shosholoza Meyl service to the Eastern Cape over the Easter period. 

Additional services have also been added to various other routes across the country, to carter for the increase demand. 

Ministerial Spokesperson Sipheshile said MEC Robin Carslie, Prasa rail and Metrorail have made available trip from Cape Town to East London at 11:55 on the 28 March 2013 which is over and above of the trip, with an earlier trip on the same day at 10:25.

Dube added that this is a great initiative for the many people that will need to travel to Eastern Cape over the Easter weekend. 

Dube further added that this additional service will help ease the pressure to carter for the extra demand.
