Through the initiative 15 919 people were
arrested on drug-related charges in the province.
Loonat said the success has assured a 16 000
arrest that refers to the possession of drugs and there has also been a R12 -R13
million rand’s worth of drugs confiscated in this period, which shows the success.
He added that this was all done through the
unison participation of the community and the policing authorities.
Loonat explains that it is a proven fact
that when things are done in unison, benefits are derived from it.
