City homes in Joe Slovo receive solar powered geysers

Minister of Human Settlement Tokyo Sexwale on Thursday handed over solar - powered geysers to more than 2 600 homes in Joe Slovo. 

Ministerial Spokesperson Xolani Xundu said the project which is a multi-million-Rand project was funded by the Danish government.

To fit in the solar - powered geysers it will cost R18 million.

Xundu said that the project is aimed at making sure that the people are going to benefit from this project.

“This project is going to make sure that their energy bill will be reduced drastically and it also contributes to the green economy,” added Xundu.
