The City of Cape Town plans to review its outdoor advertising by-law to make it easier for traders to advertise.

This comes after the City had adopted the outdoor advertising policy.

Cape Mayor Patricia De Lille said the review of the by-law was taking too long.

For the last 7 years the City has been in negotiation with the outdoor media industry, regarding the review.

Patricia De Lille`s Spokesperson Solly Malatsi said the plan is to encourage the entrepreneurs to market their products within the city’s regulated frame work

Malatsi added that the broader will be used as a source of revenue for the city aligning with its city’s broader economic policies.
