The Democratic Nursing Organisation of South Africa has called on South Africans to reflect and assess whether the country still lives the ideals of what Chris Hani stood for.

This as today marks 20 years since the late SACP General Secretary Chris Hani was assassinated outside his home in 1993.

Denosa said Hani would not have been impressed with the slow pace of addressing inequality, poverty and unemployment.

Denosa’s Spokesperson Sibongiseni Delihlazo said that had the democratic government programme of action focused on the workers and the poor, which is the true fabric of South Africa and especially their economic emancipation, which comrade Hani stood for unapologetically.

“Because these challenges have direct impact on the health of the country,” added Delihlazo.
