An Elsier River liquor outlet has had its license revoked, with immediate effect.

They were found to be selling off-consumption liquor when their license is for on-consumption.

The outlet is also said to have had a shooting incident on its premises.

MEC Alan Winde said that this action is part of a programme where the provincial government needs to use by-laws alongside the municipalities making sure that liquor outlets trade responsibly.

“As a provincial government we are making sure that if they do not trade responsibly, and do not adhere to the law we will take away their licenses” Winde added
