Johnson added that this is going to give a clear indication of the communities that date back as far as 100 years.
This week MEC of Cultural Affairs
and Sport Ivan Meyer and the Mayor of Mossel Bay Alderlady Ferreira unveiled
the Heritage Western Cape plaque which identifies the archaeological site at
Pinnacle Point as a provincial heritage site.
MEC Meyer said it is important to
link the past with the future.

Johnson said the department is very pleased that now they can protect and
preserve the country’s heritage in the Southern Cape .
