The Western Cape MEC of Human Settlements Bonginkosi Madikizela will together with Executive Mayor of Stellenbosch Conrad Sidego be handing over 106 completed houses in the Watergang Housing Project in Kayamandi today.
The project is a multi-phase project, which when completed will deliver 2000 units.
Ministerial Spokesperson Bruce Oom said one of the 106 houses, there will be 9 houses with special needs beneficiaries.
Oom added that the handover will include wheelchair bound, 89 year old Lena Maasdorp, who was promised a house by Premier Helen Zille 2 years ago when she visited the area and other beneficiaries.
