The three week long bus drivers` strike has come to an end. The unions and the employers reached an agreement of 9, 5% this afternoon.
The bus drivers were demanding a double digit increase of 10%. The Golden Arrow Bus Services said they will try to ensure that its service is back tonight.
Golden Arrow` John Dermmert said the company will institute all measures to facilitate the restoration of scheduled services.
Dermmert added that due to the short notice it may be possible staff members are not informed of the end of the strike.
“Commuters in possession of 10 ride clip cards with an expiry date after the 18th April with unused or unclipped rides will be able to use it for travel until 26 May 2013 .
Monthly 48 ride clip card with an expiry date after 18th April with valid unused or unclipped rides will be valid for travel until 17 June 2013” Dermmert added.
