Today, Minister of the Department of Water and Environmental Affairs Edna Molewa addressed the media in Parliament, for the Pre-Budget Vote.
The main focus was on teaching people about water conservation, which is the foundation of future sustainability of the valuable resource.
She said that water conservation is everyone’s business and without it, the country’s economy and livelihood will hang on the balance if nothing is done about it.
Molewa said as far a s universal accessibility of water, the department stands at almost
95.2 %.

“The Millenium Development Goals of Parliament were to halve the people without water by the year 2014, we are already above there” Molewa added.
