The National Sea Rescue Institute rescued four fishermen after they got lost in a dense fog of Lamberts Bay .
It is believed that the in the early hours of Wednesday two fishermen had set anchor and prepared to wait out the night to see if the dense fog would lift , when they went missing.
On the same day another report of two fishermen lost at sea also came in.
NSRI Spokesperson Craig Lambinon said when they arrived on the scene; attempts were made to remove three crew members from the yacht on the seaside which was too hazardous.
“The NSRI crew went over to the land side rigged a rope and pulley system; and pulled three crew off the yacht off the rocks’ side” Lambinon said.
Lambinon also said that the captain stayed on the island on the night and the two other crew were taken to shore by the NSRI.
No one was injured and the owners of the yacht will attempt to salvage their yacht today.
