The National Sea Rescue Institute were activated to St Francis Bay whereby a man in his 30’s requested medical assistance.

It is believed that the fisherman on board a boat sustained injuries in an accident with heavy equipment off-shore of Shark Point.

NSRI Spokesperson Craig Lambinon said he had sustained a fractured right humerus fractured ribs and facial injuries.

He added that upon their arrival on scene the NSRI stabilized the patient who was transferred onto the sea rescue boat and brought to shore and was taken to hospital in a stable but serious condition.
