North West police today said a man died when a truck reversed into the path of a taxi he was driving in Rustenburg.

Lieutenant Colonel Lesego Metsi said the truck driver was apparently unaware of the taxi when he reversed into the road and the taxi hit the back of the truck.
Metsi said that the accident happened on the R24 just outside Rustenburg, on the way to Johannesburg.

“At the moment we are investigating a case of culpable homicide against the truck driver as well as negligent and reckless driving,” added Metsi.
