11 people left homeless after a fire destroyed two shacks

A fire in Fisantekraal near Durbanville on Friday night left 11 people homeless, destroyed one formal dwelling and two shacks.

City of Cape Town’s Disaster Risk Management Spokesperson Wilfred Solomons-Johannes said the no injuries were reported.

Solomons-Johannes added that the 11 people got out safely without any injuries.

Solomons-Johannes also said the circumstances surrounding the occurrence and the cause of the fire has not yet been determent.

The Police are investigating the incident.
