Hout Bay National Sea Rescue Institute volunteers on Monday rescued a 26-year-old fisherman.
The man fell ill onboard after
vomiting blood.
Western Cape Government
Health EMS duty doctor, who evaluated the medical condition of the patient
by radio telephone, deemed it necessary for the fisherman to be evacuated to
hospital at the earliest opportunity.
NSRI Spokesperson Craig
Lambinon said the man was assisted by the paramedics and helped to get
off-shore before being transported to hospital.
