The City of Cape Town ’s Mayoral
Committee Member for Safety and Security will today take delivery of an
emergency response vehicle that will be used to dispatch specialised
counselling services to uniformed officers who have been affected by
trauma.
The programme was launched by Mayor Patricia de Lille in March this year, as part of the commitment to building a Safe and
Disaster Risk Management Spokesperson
Wilfred Solomons-Johannes explains that the value of the vehicle is nearly R150 000
and the City of Cape Town embraces these
types of programs.
“And it is part of our commitment and our
legislative responsibility to work with the community to build a resilient and have
active community participation programme in place within the City of Cape
Town,” added Solomons- Johannes.
