The Democratic Alliance has shown disgruntlement after it was tevealed that the Department of Social Development has 25 vacancies in senior positions.

Mike Waters’ DA’s Minister of Social  Development said that he will submit a further Parliamentary question to Minister of Social Development Bathabile Dlamini.
Waters said some of the positions which are vacant have not been filled for up to three years.

“The Department of Social Development is key in delivering crucial social services to the most vulnerable in our country, it is imperative that it is properly staffed.

“If the current vacancy rate in the Department are found to in any way have had a detrimental effect on the Department’s ability to deliver its mandate, Minister Dlamini has a responsibility to hold those responsible into account” Waters added.
