A man was killed when his shack burnt down at 1852 RR section in Khayelitsha during the early hours of this morning.
Disaster Risk Management Spokesperson Wilfred Johannes- Solomons said the fire destroyed the shack where the deceased was living.

Johannes- Solomons added that it is believed Ntuthuzelo Matshoba (28) was asleep at the time of the incident when the shack was caught alight.
“It is suspected that the candle light was knocked over, that could have caused the fire.” Johannes- Solomons said.
