A week long business development campaign will be launched next week by the MEC of Finance, Alan Winde.

Known as the Red Tape Reduction campaign, Minister Winde plans to visit the Red Tape call center site, the Western Cape Government walk-in centre and to meet with small business owners.

The campaign hopes to further investigate how to create easier business practises for small to medium business owners.

MEC Winde said it was trying to get businesses to let the Ministry know what gets in the way businesses from blooming and to know what would make it easier for businesses in the region.

“It is about creating that competitive space, space that allows small and emerging businesses to get up and start.

“We know that if we give small and medium businesses space, we really do create jobs, and we are serious about removing the blocks” Winde added.
