NW Premier called to reverse the appointment of Manketsi Tlaphe

The South African Municipal Workers Union in the North West Province is calling on the African National Congress Provincial leadership, in particular the Premier Thandi Modise to take affairs of local government seriously.

SAMWU’s Tahir Sema said they do not support the deployment of Manketsi Tlaphe as the MEC for local government due to the failures.

Sema said Samwu does not see how this person can be elevated to the position of MEC with increased levels of responsibility even though this person has failed in previous roles.

He further called on the Premier of the North West to reverse this appointment of Manketsi Tlaphe.
