On Tuesday Woodstock Police arrested two men aged 22 and 25-years-old for dealing in drugs in Wright Street during a crime prevention operation.
A 61-year-old woman was also arrested during these operations for dealing in dagga and being in possession of drugs.
The suspects are expected to appear in the Cape Town Magaistrate Court on Thursday.
Sergeant Hilton Malila said that a preliminary investigation lead the police officers to the residence of the suspects.
“During the search, we confiscated four plastic bags of dagga, three medium-sized shopping bags of dagga, and 32 bank bags filled with dagga 85 white in colour tablets were also seized that are used for the manufacturing of mandrax.
“During a separate incident, members of the Crime Prevention Unit then arrested a 21 year old man and a 61 year old woman for being in possession of drugs, upon searching their premises; they confiscated 20 mandrax tablets” Malila added.
