Three people died and 13 others injured in separate accidents

Three have died and four seriously injured in an accident on the R102 north near King Shaka this morning. 

It is believed that a vehicle veered off the road and overturned several times. 

Netcare 911 Spokesperson Chris Botha said the injured were treated at the scene before being transported to various hospitals for further care.

In another accident ten people were injured after a rear-end accident between two taxis in church street, Pietermaritzburg this morning. 

The exact details of the cause of the accident are unknown at this stage but police are investigating. 

Netcare 911 Spokesperson Chris Botha said the paramedics found ten patients on the scene, all of them had minor injured.

He added that they were treated on scene and then transported to nearby hospitals for further care.

The cause of both accidents is not known at this stage and the police are investigating.
