Western Cape Police investigate two separate blast in Athlone

The Western Cape police are today busy investigating the circumstances around two explosives which went off in Athlone last night. 

Police Spokesperson FC van Wyk said in the first incident the explosive device was designated at a well-known car dealer, and the second one was designated at a house in Surry Estate. 

No one was injured in both incidents. 

Van Wyk said it is suspected that the device was thrown into the premises before it was detonated, vehicle were damaged.

Van Wyk urged members with information to contact crime stop on 086 00 10100.
