Steinmann added that all the injured were treated on scene before they were transported to various hospitals in the area for further medical care.
Netcare 911 paramedics late last
night responded to an accident on the R103 near Alberton road in Brakpan which
left three people dead and thirteen injured.
When paramedics arrived on the scene
they found that a minibus and motor vehicle had collided resulting in the
minibus overturning.
Netcare 911 Spokesperson Santi Steinmann said
three people tragically lost their lives while approximately 13 people were
injured.
“A male infant sustained critical
injuries and the Netcare 1 helicopter was activated to airlift the boy to a
nearby hospital,” added Steinmann.
She also said another person
sustained critical injuries while the rest of the people sustained moderate to serious
injuries.
Steinmann added that all the injured were treated on scene before they were transported to various hospitals in the area for further medical care.
