Sayed added that these individuals who threw human waste neither claim to be members of the Youth League nor have they stated that they are undertaking this action as members of the Youth.
The African National Congress Youth
League in the Western Cape said it
distances itself from the disgusting forms of protest action.
This includes the recent throwing of
human waste at the steps of the Provincial Legislature.
ANC Youth League Provincial Convener
Muhammad Khalid Sayed said they have called on members of the Youth League and
affected communities to only engage in democratic forms of protest.
Sayed added that these individuals who threw human waste neither claim to be members of the Youth League nor have they stated that they are undertaking this action as members of the Youth.
“The membership of these protesters
can only be verified through the office of the Provincial coordinator of the
ANCYL in the Western Cape,” Sayed said.
