Western Cape Police are calling on
community members to come forward with any information regarding a body of a
baby which was found in Ceres on Monday.
Police were notified by residents while
they were doing routine checks in the area.
Captain FC van Wyk said upon their arrival
at the scene they found the body of the victim who is yet to be identified.
“A murder case has been opened for
investigation, a post-mortem will be conducted to identify the cause of death
no arrests has been made as yet,” added Van Wyk.
He has also requested if there is anyone
with information they must please come forward and contact 08600 10111.
