The Democratic Alliance said it has received the South African National roads Agency limited contract documentation for e-tolling in Gauteng.

DA MP of transport Ian Ollis said the delivery of all the documents follows the DA's successful request for Sanral’s e-toll contract documents via a promotion of access to information Act application submitted in June 2013.

Ollis said the DA is committed to seeing the fight against e-tolling through to the end.

“We will now spend a week studying every page of that document to establish how the e-tolls collection fees are working.” Ollis added.

Ollis said they will also look for an opt-out clause to find a way for Sanral and Gauteng government to cancel the e-tolling contract.
