Diarrhoea outbreak in Nelspruit a cause for concern

The Portfolio Committee on Health has expressed its concerns regarding the outbreak of diarrhoea in Nelspruit. 

Thirty two pupils were reportedly rushed to a local hospital and eleven were admitted.

The Mpumalanga Health Department has decided to investigate the outbreak. 

Chairperson for the Committee Dr Bevan Goqwana said what is worrying is that we are headed for 2014 and after that there is a millennium development goals which we need to reach.

Goqwana added that more worrying is that if we have these deceases it would result in the infant mortality and child mortality rate increasing.
