Durban Police on Wednesday arrested five members of a suspected criminal syndicate in Durban.

Police followed up on leads following several house breakings in and around Durban.

The men aged between 34 and 36-years-old are facing charges of pointing a firearm, attempted murder, house robbery and being in possession of an unlicensed firearm and ammunition.

Colonel Vincent Mdunge said the officers arrested the first two suspects who then implicated others and the two cars that were taken during the commission of these crimes were recovered as well as some household appliances.

Mdunge further said the arrested suspects are expected to appear at the Durban Magistrate Court on Friday.
