Government warns of a new scam

Government has today called on all South Africans including business sector to be vigilant of scams that are going viral. 

The scam makes unsuspecting individuals and businesses into believing they would benefit from them or contribute towards improving the work of charitable organizations. 

Acting GCIS CEO Phumla Williams said these scams have been doing rounds in businesses and government departments, where people have been sending out emails in trying scam people out of their money.

Williams further said people should be vigilant against these scams, encouraged people to use law enforcement agencies to report any suspicious email or telephone call that compromise their personal information.
