The Liquor Authority will be embarking on a wide awareness campaign in the Western Cape to promote responsible drinking.

The campaign will focus on educating residents about the dangers of alcohol abuse in terms of the social and physical ills it promotes such as crime, injury and illness.

Ministerial Spokesperson Bronwynne Jooste said that the Liquor Authority will go to different areas including Malmesbury, Philippi, Eerste River, khayelitsha and part of the Southern Cape.

“This is to educate people about the dangers of alcohol abuse and promote a more healthy drinking culture,” added Jooste.
