Tuesday visited the Albert Luthuli Municipality
Pandor was there to assess service delivery
levels and to also hand over identity documents to residents.
Pandor also emphasized that corruption
within the department is a serious problem.
She also said that it is possible that some
of those developments are linked to corrupt activities.
“But clearly people are corrupt because
they gain the benefit from abusing public resources and I think we have quite a
strong anti-corruption strategy and we will continue to implement it,” added
Pandor.
