Home Affairs Department embarks on a distribution campaign

Home Affairs Minister Naledi Pandor today went Thembisile Hani Local Municipality in Mpumalanga on a campaign to distribution Identity Documents.

Part of Minister Naledi Pandor’s programmes included assisting with capturing of applications and distribution of Identity Documents and birth certificates from the department in mobile units, which were stationed at Musa High school.

The programme concluded with door-to-door delivery of Identity Documents to few households within the community of KwaMhlanga.

Pandor said the department is trying to reach as many young people as they can to ensure that they apply for Identity Documents.

She further stressed the importance of having an identity document because it ensures that people are eligible for government services, in applying for jobs, social grants and any other services people need documents.
