The National
Employers Association of South Africa today said it is very disappointed at the
lack of understanding by the Department of Labour for the need to change current
labour legislation.
Nersa Spokesperson
Sya van der Walt said the difficulty that employers face when a need or reason
arise to dismiss, also has a downward impact on wages.
Van Der Walt said
drastic measures need to be taken in terms of labour legislation.
She added that
government intervention approach is a deterrent to business growth and
entrepreneurship and development.
