Paramedics are on an accident scene in Kempton Park

An accident at the intersection of Griffiths and Jet Park Roads Kempton Park has left a factory engulfed in flames with balls of fire shooting a hundred meters into the night sky.

Reports indicate that the accident happened in the intersection, one of the vehicles then veered off the road and smashed into a flammable liquid store.

Netcare 911’s Chris Botha said their rescue units were standing off at the incident while firemen were battling the inferno,

“It is still not sure if the occupants from the car managed to flee the scene or if they were trapped in the wreckage while the vehicle burned out,” Botha added.

Botha further added that an update will follow as soon as more information is available.
