20 people were arrested for drunk driving in the WC

Western Cape Traffic officials conducted 24 roadblocks over the weekend. The objective of these roadblocks was to reduce road fatalities throughout the province over weekends.

Western Cape traffic Chief Spokesperson Kenny Africa said they screened over vehicles for possible alcohol use and in the process they arrested 20 drunk drivers. Africa has more 

Four people were arrested for the possession of drugs

“We also issued 1 036 fines for various contraventions of speeding offences. The highest speed was 178 km/h in a 120 km/h zone.” Africa added.
