A man in his 20’s has been killed late last night after he was involved in a collision involving a truck on the N2 at Sir Lowery’s Pass.

It is believed that his light motor vehicle collided with a truck head-on.

ER24 Spokesperson Vanessa Jackson said the vehicle was extensively damaged and paramedics explained that it seemed the engine was lying on one side of the road and the remains of the vehicle on the other side.

Jackson added that the patient had been ejected from the car with multiple injuries and were they are arrived on scene there was nothing that they could do to save his life. Local police are still investigating the cause of the accident.

It is reported that the occupants of the truck were unharmed.
